This blog comes from a site who’s author is “Suzanimator”. It gives a very good detail of how virtual reality worlds are being used and some insight into it. It also defines the different types of social VR.
“The basic categories of interactions for social VR will be one on one interactions – you talking to a friend, partner or family member, commercial interactions like business meetings or education, solely social interactions which could include groups of friends or strangers, or mixed groups, and social gaming or social experience, where the social interactions are secondary to some other purpose.”
The author’s position is clearly pro VR and he/she addresses the potential obstacles for advancing VR interaction. It is an interesting perspective and should give one a glimpse into this virtual world. RE
